Serum Angiopoietin-Like Protein 2 and NT-Pro BNP Levels and Their Associated Factors in Patients with Chronic Heart Failure Participating in a Phase III Cardiac Rehabilitation Program

Angiopoietin-like protein 2 (ANGPTL2) promotes chronic inflammation and plays a key role in the pathogenesis of heart failure. Cardiac rehabilitation (CR) is an integral component failure management has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects. However, ANGPTL2 concentration patients undergoing CR not evaluated. This study aimed investigate serum levels their associated factors compare results with those N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) phase III CR.A total 56 were enrolled. Clinical characteristics including body composition, grip strength, exercise tolerance, duration CR, blood counts biochemistry, echocardiographic parameters evaluated for association NT-proBNP levels.The median (first third quartiles) value was 4.05 (2.70-5.57) ng/mL. that correlated weight, mass index, fat mass, percentage, anaerobic threshold (AT), C-reactive protein, (TP), which mostly distinct from levels. A multivariate analysis revealed AT TP independent related levels, whereas age, left ventricular ejection fraction, atrial dimension independently levels.These observations suggest increases tolerance exhibits effects simultaneously, this situation reflected by decreased ANGPLT2 may be useful marker impaired
